Research On The Pronunciation Of Medieval 'Ru Sheng' Characters In Guangling Dialect

Guangling lies in the north-eastern part of Shanxi province.Guangling dialect,which is in the zone of transition of Jin dialect and Jilu mandarin,belongs to Jilu Mandarin.Guangling dialect is characteristic,especially disappeared ‘Ru Sheng'characters that embodys the evolvement that is of great value in research.The thesis focus on the pronunciation of Medieval ‘Ru Sheng'characters,describing and analyzing the initial consonant,the compound vowel and tone,through field investigation and historical comparative method.Meanwhile,the thesis gives the comparison about Guangling dialect and central area dialects of Baotang district of Jilu mandarin?Beijing dialect,using language contact theory so as to summarize the pronunciation of Guangling dialect.The contents of the thesis are as follows:The first chapter is an overview.firstly,it is a introduction of Guangling cunnty,which includes the geographical situation and establishing evolution.Secondly,it makes a brief research summary of ‘Ru Sheng'characters in Chinese dialects,Shanxi dialects and Guangling dialect.Finally,it is the aim,value,method and substance of the thesis.The second chapter is about the pronunciation system of Guangling dialect and the comparison of relationship with mandarin and medieval pronunciation.The third chapter is the main part that describe the pronunciation of Guangling dialect in three ways: initial consonant,the compound vowel and tone of ‘Ru Sheng'characters.In fact,there is few variant pronunciations in initial consonant.The analysis of tone is observed by the ‘Ru Sheng'tone tendency of QingRu,QuanZhuoRu and CiZhuo Ru,which draws most QingRu turns to YinPing tone,most QuanZhuoRu turns to YangPing tone,most CiZhuoRu turns to ShangSheng tone as conclusion.The analysis of the compound vowel describes the merging situation of RuShengYun and YinShengYun so as to observe the research ofregularity,and the difference of WenBai.The fourth chapter is a comparison of the initial consonant,the compound vowel and tone of ‘Ru Sheng'characters about Guangling dialect that is on the edge of Baotang district dialect and chosen three representative dialects(Gaoyang dialect,Anguo dialect,Shunping dialect)that are central area dialects of Baotang district dialect.In addition,it compares the difference of WenBai in the initial consonant,the compound vowel and tone.The fifth chapter is a comparison of the initial consonant,the compound vowel and tone of ‘Ru Sheng'characters about Guangling dialect and Beijing dialect.In addition,it compares the difference of WenBai in the initial consonant,the compound vowel and tone.In summary,it gives the whole description of Guangling dialect for rules of the tendency of ‘Ru Sheng'tone,the merging situation of RuShengYun and YinShengYun,the difference of WenBai.It gives the comparison about Guangling dialect and central area dialects in Baotang district dialects?Beijing dialect for drawing a conclusion: they have the similar tendency rules of ‘Ru Sheng'tone,the difference of WenBai in Guangling dialect is not systematic,compared to central area dialects in Baotang district dialects?Beijing dialect.
