Redesign And Innovation Of Chinese Folk Toys

With the progress of society,the development of Chinese folk toys has not been adapt to the needs of today's society. People are less and less interested in traditional toys.Modern toys are almost full of the toy market. For the purpose of enlarging the market share of traditional toys, the author put forward the topic - the innovative design of folk toys. In addition, folk toys is one of the important carriers of traditional Chinese culture. From the point of view of inherit and carry forward Chinese traditional culture, This topic also very meaningful.This paper first analyzes the toy industry and the present situation of the folk toys.The origin and historical development of the folk toys were studied. Through a comprehensive analysis, Summarized the reason hindering the development of the folk toys forward,Mainly includes two aspects of internal cause and external cause. Then, on this basis,according to the characteristics of the modern toy market and the purchase of consumer demand, through using the advantages of modern toy design.Put forward the basic ideas of Chinese folk toys redesign:the extension design of folk toys;redesign of modeling elements in folk toys;redesign of cultural elements in folk toys. These three aspects is sui generis and complement each other, is the core content of folk toys innovative design.After that, it points out and emphasizes several problems that need attention in the process of redesigning folk toys: security design; interactive design; cultural heritage design and sustainable development design. This paper argues that only by fully paying attention tothese "problems", in order to make a forward-looking and market competitiveness of the successful design.At last, under the guidance of the basic ideas, the article chooses Gaomi Jiaohu as the basic image as redesign case. First of all, through the origin of Gaomi Jiaohu and tiger culture exploration, deep understanding to Gaomi Jiaohu unique cultural connotation. Then,its shape, color, decoration and material aspects of bold innovation, with the traditional folk tiger culture and the the needs of modern society combined. To put theory into practice,re-design of Gaomi Jiaohu.Finally, this paper hopes to bring the trend of redesigning folk toys and usher in another spring of folk toys.
