In the study of language, individual motivation is considered as an important determinant of the success of second language learners,and the study of learners'motivations can also provide guiding significance for the setting of curriculum and the teaching of language.On the Chinese language as a second language learning motivation, academia has been on this issue to maintain a high degree of concern.Especially related to the overseas Confuci-us Institutes of the school,to understand the country, where the students learnChinese motiv-ation is necessary. This paper argues that the motivation of students is complex, relative to the individual basic gender, age, ethnicity, learning Chinese time and other objective conditions, students' learning motivation, learning behavior, and academic performance can confirm each other's local learning motivation Constitute, so as to be able to understand the r-egion's Chinese teaching model and foundation, to promote the promotion of Chinese teachi-ng.This paper comprehensively draws lessons from the domestic and foreign scholars'research results,mainly uses Gardner and Lambert's social psychological model,Dornyei's motivational research theory to study the Chinese major students' from both University of Hull and Confucius Institute. Focusing on Chinese and Chinese learning attitude, integrative motivation, instrumental motivation, attitude to the language environment, linguistic self-confidence five aspects of the local Chinese-learning students motivation questionnaire survey. On the basis of the above, according to the results of observation and discovery in teaching practice, combined with the learners' grades, learners' learning behavior, learning methods, Chinese anxiety and curriculum feedback were used to carry out the questionnaire survey. At the same time, combined with the students' learning situation and other results of a comprehensive analysis, try to put forward the Confucius Institute of local Chinese teaching promotion strategies and stimulate students to learn motivation strategies.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the questionnaire survey data and the contents of the interview, this paper makes a detailed description of the relationship between the learner's dominant motivation type, learner's learning behavior and learning motivation,learners' achievement and learning motivation and explores the students' characteristics of Chinese language learning motivations for Chinese Major students and Confucius Institutes at University of Hull. Using the crossover analysis option to study the specific learning behavior of Chinese learners in strong motivation. By analyzing the Chinese students 'scores of two groups of students in combination, the objective factors of the two groups of students learning Chinese and the students' responses to learning behavior related questions in the student questionnaire will analyze the data and find that the students with strong motivation are mainly from Professional, age, and thus provide advice on teaching and curriculum settings.
