The terminology of products definition regarding to entry "user manual" has three basic functions should be found in the interpretation which corresponding to the three stages of sales:Pre-sale stage: advertise product attributes. It is fundamental characteristics to encourage consumers to complete the purchase action and realize commodity circulation.On-sale stage: Broadcasting product knowledge. Product manuals are generally related to the professional information of the product, which can broaden customers' scientific horizon and expand the role of information flow.after sale stage:Enhance brand image.Consumers are most likely to know a brand by contacting a product. At the same time,product manuals plays a vital role for customers to Identify the product. In addition, The Brand communication with consumers leaves a first impression in the minds of consumers through product manuals. Thus,These functions should be the most basic functions of product manuals, but I didn't find them in most of the products on the market.The development of visual communication design has ushered in a new era in the information age,especially in product design,it changes with each new day,as'a result,product manuals for additional services should also be continuously improved i think? At present, the visual symbols are more diverse, the way of product manuals turn from boards to the electronic version .But its development is still extensive and only the media changes,when come to the content and content of the presentation, they are still a single text based layout.In this paper, I will investigate the design of different types of product specifications,which are related to four types of product manuals:First,product formula manuals relating to technical terms and theories. Second,DIY product manuals.Third,educational product manuals.Last,Technical and software product manuals.Finally,I sum up the innovative design ideas of all kinds of products by introducing the theory of multidimensional design,combined with the advantages of multimedia and graphic design.This paper includes the following five section:1.This paper states the research background, research content, and according to the development of the research at home and abroad to analyze the purpose and significance of the study.2.This paper subscribed the concept of the product manuals, analyzes their existing forms and problems according to classifying them by the main functions , then points out the root causes.3.This paper adds the concept of user experience and reflective design ,which is based on the basic theory of multi-dimensional design,and forecast design trend of product manuals.4.This paper analyzes the necessary functionality of different types of products manuals and puts forward the ideas and forms of the innovative design according to the difference of the design manuals,.5.To carry on the design practice of innovation design of product manual under the guide of this paper.
