| With the improvement of people's living standard,the consumption styles have also changed a lot.What they need is not simply a shopping place anymore,but an integrated space which involves shopping,relaxation and entertainment.The sculpture in the commercial spaces has gradually drawn most of people's attention as a large number of people crowd in.It is of great significance as it not only influences the way how people begin to understand the whole surroundings,but also subtly promotes their aesthetic value and artistic accomplishment.Currently,in most cases,however,Commercial spaces are first designed before the sculptures are purchased and placed into them.Besides,those sculptures are not of high artistic standard,and even though some of them may be highly appreciate for their artistic value,they cannot coexist harmoniously with the surroundings,thus unable to highlight the themes of the surroundings accordingly.It is worthy for us to study on how to make the sculpture design reflects the commercial and artistic values of the space,so as to match the surroundings.Through the study of the current situation of the commercial space sculptures,this paper analyzes the problems of the commercial space sculptures and then summarizes the designing methods of them.It further elaborates the sculpture design practice in Shijiazhuang Wanda Plaza.With the purpose of summing up the principles of commercial space sculpture design and make the public sculpture match the commercial space well to improve it's overall quality,so that the real role of public art can be brought to play when the people are appreciating the sculptures.At the same time,the sense of belonging to and identity with home can be aroused as well.It also proposes the prospects of commercial space sculpture designing in the future in order to promote the artistic value of modern cities and improve the urban space. |
