This paper takes Huangshi city of Hubei province Huangshi eighteen in 280 left behind junior high school students as the research object,using the method of questionnaire survey,using mental health diagnostic measurement table,SSRs and self-concept measurement table of investigation and analysis,to understand the level of mental health,social support and self concept of left behind junior high school students,and to explore the predictive effect of social support and self concept on mental health,so as to improve the left behind junior high school students' psychological health level.The results show that:1? The mental health level of left behind junior high school students was significantly lower than that of non left behind junior high school students.Among them,the detection rate of psychological problems of left behind junior high school students was 15%,and the detection rate of psychological problems of non left behind junior high school students was about 9.58%.2? There was no significant difference in the mental health of the left behind junior high school students between the sexes,the only child and the non only child.3? left behind junior high school students' overall level of social support is not good.4? left behind junior high school students' self-concept in the medium level,to be improved.5? The social support and mental health of left behind junior high school students have significant correlation with self-concept and mental health.6? The regression analysis showed that self concept and social support were respectively used to predict mental health,and the predicted rates were: 38%,19.8%.7? social support can directly affect the level of mental health,but also can affect the level of mental health.Self concept plays an intermediary role between social support and mental health.Finally,based on the analysis of the results of quantitative research,this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the level of mental health of left behind junior high school students.
