A Report On The Chinese Translation Of Adverbial Clauses In America's Bank

Adverbial clause,expressing the state of the main clause,is a common clause in English,and usually occurs in business discourse.Large amounts of adverbial clauses in America's Bank constitute an important part in this financial book.As financial book belongs to business discourse,the translation of adverbial clauses plays a key role in the translation of business discourses.This report is based on the adverbial clauses' translation in the first chapter of America's Bank.Two commonly used translation methods of adverbial clauses are adopted in this report:1.Translating adverbial clauses by original ordering,which means that the target language is in the same order with the source language,and the relation between sentence and clause remain unchanged.2.Translating adverbial clauses with order changing,which means that when the logical order of the source language and that of the target language does not correspond to each other,the former is changed to keep the latter,and the translation is presented in the logic of the target language.By summarizing the adverbial clauses in this financial book,the author classified the translation methods of them,and summarized related financial terms to give a reference to financial book translating successors in order that they can present more accurate and fluent translation versions and their translation versions could bring benefit to the readers.
