Water is the most important natural resource in production and life and is crucial for agricultural production, industrial development and urban life, but we have limited water resource. Therefore, the translation of urban water management is of great significance.Eco-translatology is a new translation theory proposed by domestic scholar Hu Gengshen in 2001,which made new interpretations to translation study from Ecotranslatology perspective. On the basis of analyzing ecological translation theory and studying relevant research findings as well as practice at home and abroad, this report will focus on the study of translational eco-environment and the theory of “Translation as Adaptation and Selection”.The “Three-Dimensional” transformation is taken as the main translation strategy in this report,so words and syntax will be analyzed from language dimension, communicative dimension and cultural dimension respectively. The report is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is an introduction to illustrate the research background, purpose and significance of the report. The second chapter is the theoretical framework, elaborating the basic theory of Eco-translatology and translation methods. The third chapter analyzes text and language features of the source text. The fourth chapter is the focus of this report, which studies translator's selective adaptation to the target text from internal needs, external needs and translator's adaptive selection from cultural dimension, language dimension and communicative dimension. The fifth chapter summarizes author's findings and limitations, hoping to provide reference for readers in related fields.
