Excellent cultural resources is the spiritual source of human civilization progress and development.Cultural soft power is an important part of comprehensive national strength.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the Party Central Committee has put forward the six strategic development requirements and development goals for the development of socialist culture in China.China is a rich cultural heritage and cultural heritage resources of the great powers,but the cultural heritage and preservation of cultural heritage status is not optimistic.By the impact of China's social transition,industrialization,the rapid development of urbanization,the traditional culture of the living environment deteriorating.At the same time,people's awareness of the protection of cultural heritage still remain in the traditional museum collection mode,the means of the great constraints of the excellent traditional culture of communication and mining,education and cultural heritage protection,inheritance out of touch.These factors make the traditional cultural resources are facing a serious threat.Today,the media industry is developing in full swing,the use of the image has penetrated into the political,economic,social and other fields,the use of image recording and dissemination of the advantages of protection and heritage of national history and traditional culture is an effective and convenient way.Based on the theory of film theory,narratology theory and film and television historiography,this paper studies the creation rules of historical and cultural documentary films by using literature review method,field investigation method,documentary film observation method and creative practice.This research focuses on the theoretical research of the narrative of historical and cultural documentary,and combines the creative experience of the individual,and forms the creative research theory of historical and cultural documentary.This study is divided into five chapters,from the historical and cultural documentary topics,narrative,performance,the formation of four creative process of historical and cultural documentary creation of the law.First of all,the theoretical research of this paper starts from the definition of the conceptof documentary,explains and emphasizes the authenticity of the documentary,and studies and analyzes the social value of the documentary,and the importance of the historical and cultural documentary,As well as the importance of historical and cultural documentary creation.Secondly,on the basis of documentary taxonomy,the author also defines the concept of historical and cultural documentary,and highlights its epoch,diachronic and educational value plays an important role in the inheritance and protection of excellent traditional culture.Thirdly,the creative process of historical and cultural documentary is the key content of this research.This paper analyzes the success stories of historical and cultural documentary,and elaborates it with the experience of practice creation.The study includes four parts: topic selection,narration,expression technique and style.First,the topic is from the perspective of the creation of the first direction to determine the topic,and then the specific content and the main content of choice,and finally based on the content of the way to extract the theme of analysis.Second,the narrative chapter from the narrative structure,narrative rhythm,narrative perspective,narrative space-time four aspects of a specific analysis.The narrative
