Study Of Language Change In The Process Of The Urbanization From The Perspective Of Language Identity

From the perspective of historical development,the general trend of language change is a process which continuously moves towards unification in the interaction of opposition and unification among languages.As a communicative tool,cultural carrier and ethnic symbol,the conflict and fusion of languages reflects the historical development of differentiation and mergers among ethnic groups.From the perspective of language identification,any transformation of language behavior is based on the group behavior.This paper is based on the social background of the development process of urbanization.From the perspective of language identity,we deduces the internal and external reasons of language change as well as its process,and tries to structure the interrelation among the social background,language identity and language change.This paper is about to deeply analyze the psychology of language users,find the essential motivation of language using combined with the ethnic relations,then explore the process and causes of language change.The introduction part introduces the concepts of identity,language identity and social identity,also states the research background,the present situation,the research significance and research methods of this paper.The second chapter states the development process and reasons of language change in our history,which is investigated from the perspective of language identity.The first section summarizes the language change in our history from the perspective of unity and opposition of languages.The second section elucidates the process and reason of language change from the perspective of language identity.Firstly,the psychological activities of the group are the internal motivation of language change.It is influenced mainly by the intergroup comparison,subjective belief structure and the influence of internal group feedback.Secondly,from the perspective of group theory,the choice of language is the expression of the language identity which performances as instrumental identity and social identity.Thirdly,the existence of a language mainly depends on the vitality of language ethnic and the value of the language itself.The third chapter is based on the social background of the development process of urbanization,hierarchically illustrates the phenomenon of language identity,and explains the process and the reason of language change.The first section introduces the urbanization of our country,including the main content of urbanization and the impact on social life.The second section summarizes the language change in the urbanization process,such as the popularization of mandarin as well as the decline and the transformation of minority languages and dialects.The third section divides the language identity into four levels as the identity of mandarin,dialects of immigration cities,mother tongue and foreign language.Then we expound the multiple language identity of users who live in the multi-language environment,and state the influence of language change from different language identities.The fourth chapter discusses the relationship between the urbanization and the language harmony from the perspective of language identity.The first section expounds the harmonious condition of the language community as well as the ideal model of language identity,namely double language phenomenon and the double language identity.The second section states the interrelation between the urbanization and the language harmony.The last chapter is the conclusion part which carries on the summary to the main content of the full text.
