Ego is the Enemy is an inspirational book written by Ryan Holiday and published in June 2016.This translation report is based on the third part of the Ego is the enemy.The use of rhetorical devices in the book not only makes expressions more vivid,but also makes the translation more challenging.This paper takes some representative rhetorical sentences for instances,and discusses the rhetorical problems in the process of translation.Both of the source language and culture differences between the source language and the target language should be taken into condiseration to find some suitable strategies to solve those problems.This translation report consists of four parts: the first part is the introduction of the book,including the background of the author,the content of the corpus and the text features;the second part is the specific translation process of the author;the third part is the case analysis,introducing some rhetoric problems in the process of translation,and then offering some strategies to those problems.The last part is the conclusion of this translation practice. |
