Simulated interpreting practice aims to test the interpreting skills by creating an on-the-spot atmosphere.In this report,the writer took Wang Shi's speech "The Third Peak of My Life" at Harvard University as an example to do interpreting simulation practice,and analyzed the problems as well as the factors affecting the quality of interpreting.This report aims to study comprehension skills,memory skills,and re-expression skills by analyzing the three links in the interpreting process,namely understanding,memory and expression.Meanwhile,the writer analyzed and optimized the target language from the perspective of interpretive theory and summed up the guiding experience for the work and study in future.This practice report is divided into four parts.The first part is task introduction,including task background,purpose and significance.The second part is the practice process,consisting of the pre-interpreting preparation,the interpreting process and the post-interpreting summary.The third part is a case analysis,which enumerates some related strategies during the interpreting process based on interpretive theory.The final part of the report is a summary.
