Investigation To Find Similarities And Difference Of Pontianak Indonesia's Chinese And Non Chinese Origin Students In Identifying And Writing Chinese Characters

In order to make up oral language's deficiency,mankinds created the characters.We often learn both of language and characters simultaneously,therefore in learning Chinese,we will also learn the Chinese characters.There are so many Chinese learners from so many countries including Indonesia response that Chinese character is one of their difficult points in learning Chinese.A lot of experts research the phenomenon of foreigners writing Chinese characters.Writer got inspiration after read the experts research result then decide to do this research.The main content this research is discussing about the Chinese and non Chinese origin local student's study Chinese character's motivation and circumstances.Writer use the quesionare,voice record,video record and also interview to collect the data.First part of this dissertation is introduce the research objectives,significance,scope,method and expound the related summary,then analyse the quesionare results,summarize the local student's basic situation,describes their study experience,method and strategy,next is about the analyzation of the student's using Chinese characters skill exam result and narration of writer and teachers interview results,the main point of this chapter is about the teacher's method and difficulty in teaching Chinese characters,and the last part is the research conclusion,writer generally conclude each part of this research and raise some suggestion.After make research,writer find out that the Chinese origin students have better skill in using Chinese character than non Chinese origin students do.Chinese origin students have advantage in their mother language's background and language learning environment,but the non Chinese origin students can gain skill achievement through study hard.
