As one of the classics of Jane Austin,Pride and Prejudice has gained great popularity in the world. And the translations of Wang Keyi and Sun Zhili enjoy very high reputation in China.Previous studies of the two translations were mainly done from linguistic and literary perspectives.Few were done in the light of the perspective of ecotranslatology, which is quite systematic and comprehensive.Taking eco-translatology as a guiding theory, this thesis intends to explain the similarities and differences between the two translations in linguistic dimension, cultural dimension and communicative dimension. It is an attempt to further reveal the causeeffect relationship between translators' selective adaptation and adaptive selection to analyze the reasons for the differences in comparison. The linguistic dimension is analyzed from lexical level, rhetorical level and syntactical level;the cultural dimension is illustrated by the translation of the form of address,culture-loaded words, sayings, customs and social phenomena;the communicative dimension is discussed from the communicative purposes and effects of the two translations.Through comparison,it is found that Sun's translation has a higher degree of adaptive selection transformation in three dimensions, though Wang's translation also makes transformations in three dimensions. All these differences are due to the two translators' different adaptations to their translational eco-environments — different personal experiences and competence, motivations of translation, social and historical backgrounds of target text, needs of the target readers and the two translators' adaptations to the source text. And through analysis,Sun's translation has a higher degree of holistic adaptation and selection,so it's a better translation from the perspective of eco-translatology.
