Translation Practice Report Of Mechanical Science And Technology Literature From A Perspective Of Text Function Theory

With modern science and technology developing,international markets get constantly opened up and international scientific and technological exchanges have become increasingly frequent,so the mechanical science and technology literature translation is becoming more and more important.Based on the original mechanical text translation practice,this translation practice should focuses on the analysis of typical features of mechanical science text and illustrate examples so as to come up with a better translation method.British translation theorist Newmark's theory of textual function is the most important basis and general guideline.According to the functions and types of the information text,there are four main translation methods that have been used to explore the new access to transmitting information better such as the comparison of deacademicalization and academicalization strategies and deconsturction of long and complex sentences with annotations.This translation practice report is composed on the basis of functional analysis about the target text and linguistic features of science and technology text.General features of technological texts are accuracy and conciseness that result from its objectiveness,professionalism and logicality.It is suggested that based on the textual function theory,the translation text should be a better type to express the information.
