With the rapid development of science and technology, the research on technical translation is perfected day by day and playing an increasingly significant role.Compared with other genres of translation, most technical texts always use formal written language, with plenty of compound sentences, passive sentences and substantive clauses. The language is logically rigorous and highly structured, which leads to the difficulty in translation increased by a large margin. In the author's opinion, translation process should be conducted under the guidance of the Skopos Theory and the selection of translation skills should be based on this theory so as to prove its guiding functions. This report is comprised of four parts. The first part,a general introduction to this translation program, mainly demonstrates the textual features of the original text and the significance of this selected topic. The second part specifically illustrates the translation process, especially the preparation before translation, the choice of Computer Aided Translation software as well as the proofreading of the translated version. In the third part, the author gives an introduction to the translation theory applied in the translation process, that is,Functionalist Skopos Theory. And then, the cases are analyzed in the fourth part.In line with the Skopos Theory, three translation strategies have been chosen. The last part is the conclusion, with an emphasis on the author's own gain and experience.
