Report On The Translation Of Biomimetics(chapters 4,5,7)

Biomimetics is an interdiscipline that is both ancient and young.Many tools and equipment made by referring to bionics have been facilitating people's life and production.So the development of bionics,especially the exchanges and intertranslation of excellent works about bionics,comes to the priority.Under the guidance of Skopos Theory and based on the Chinese translation practice of Chapters Four,Five and Seven of Biomimetics,this report mainly discusses the practical application of conversion of word class in Chinese translation of Science English texts.The report is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction;the second part is the description of translation project,including the description of translation task,client's requirements and the introduction to Biomimetics' s author.The third part describes the translation process,concerning preparation before translation,analysis while translation and text-proofing after translation.The forth part is about the Skopos Theory and the application of conversion of word class and the analysis of different cases and sentences,including how to apply conversion of word class.The last part is the report's conclusion,including the significance of translating Biomimetics,the summary of conversion of word class,the cognition after translation and the perception and inspiration,etc..
