The Study On Su Shi's Literature Education

Su Shi,who had distinguished talent and thought,was considered as a literary representative in Song Dynasty.Undeniably,Su Shi,the shining star in the history of Chinese literature,was surrounded by the specific external environment,which was unsophisticated and ancient of cultural customs in Meishan,accumulation of culture and morals of Su Clan,and so on.Grandfather-SU Xu had a happy-go-lucky personality and enjoyed reading and writing;Uncle-SU Huan succeeded in the imperial examination;Father-SU Xun was a famous essayist.Mother-Mrs Cheng was an educated woman.Su Shi lived in such a hometown and family,which was a deeply cultural atmosphere.then he learned respectively from Zhang Yijian and Liu Weizhi,which made preparation for poetric rhythmthe and Imperial examination.Moreover,In this stage of life,he came to understand the thoughts about Confucianism,Taosim and Buddhism.On the way of Su Shi's growth,Luckily,He got to know a great many senior teachers,who exhibited keen insight and actual strength.Such as Zhang Fangping,Ou Yangxiu.they were called talent scout.To Su Shi,Zhang Fangping was the first introducer;Ou Yangxiu,was known for encouraging and helping young people.As an admirer,Su Shi had received his education of literature and personality from Ou Yangxiu.Entering the official circles,Su Shi,with great pains and enthusiastic supports of Ou Yangxiu,assumed the heavy responsibility to develop the literary career.Admittedly,It also couldnot be underestimated from other senior teachers-Wen Yanbo,Fan zhen,who gave Su Shi some pieces of guidance for literature and life.As with Ou Yangxiu,Su Shi also laid emphsis on potential.Not only did he created splendid literary achievements,but also he nurtured a number of disciples.They were generally called as “The Four Scholars of the Su Men”,“The Six Gentlemen of the Su Men”,“The succeeding Four Scholars of the Su Men”and other writers-Wang Gong,Li Zhiyi,who were influenced by Su Shi in a straight or indirect way.There existed some discussion about the literature frankly or frequently among them.Sumen Disciples made a great progress in Morality,literary knowledge and ability to act.Meanwhile,Su Shi had gained a lot because of this literary interactions as well.The atmosphere of equality,democracy,freedom and harmony had come into being.Su Clan's Offsprings learned a lot from Su Shi,such as literary and artistic thought,personality.Su Clan was a noble family in Song Dynasty.Massiness hereditary learning was characteristics of Su Clan.Su Shi,who embraced profound academic connotation,had cultivated successors actively and told them to read more historical books in order to inherit the Su Men culture.Su Clan's successors,who had succeeded to hereditary learning,carried on the good literary fame from generation to generation.Su Shi had left many valuable literature education resources to us,which was closely related to emphasis on education of young generation and ideals about setting up schools and cultivating people of ability.
