A Translation Report On “Survey On Models And Evaluation Of Quality Of Experience”

As the era of information technology comes,the computer network technology and its application have gradually been part of people's lives.What's more,related scientific researches are also springing up.Chinese scholars,specifically,have achieved fruitful results in the computer network technology;therefore,it becomes a meaningful project to translated their works into English.This paper,consisting of four parts,is a C-E translation report based on the computer thesis “Survey on Models and Evaluation of Quality of Experience”.The first part briefly introduces the source,background and meaning of the source text.The second part tells all the preparation before the translation process,including the analysis of the text from the angel of vocabulary,syntax and discourse,introduction of the translation tools and the establishment of the term bank.The third and the coral part discusses the translation strategies of the lexical structure,long sentences and short sentences in the source text by exemplification.And the fourth part concludes the whole paper and proposes the shortcomings.To conclude,in the thesis translation,translators should first pursue the accuracy of the terminology translation.Besides,appropriate translation strategies should be adopted to make the version more easily understood by the target readers.The paper aims to highlight the technique and strategy of the translation of the texts related to the computer and provide a little reference in some way for the translation of the same kind,in order to increase the speed and quality of the translation.
