| Since the 21st century,the development of economy and technology has brought great prosperity to the language service industry.On the one hand,the laborious individual translation model of the old days can no longer meet the surging market demand,and translation teams have become the main force in the language service market.On the other hand,translation technology has been widely used in the market,playing an irreplaceable role in improving the efficiency and quality of translation.Therefore,translation team managers must master translation technologies,strengthen teamwork,and optimize translation processes to provide integrated and efficient language services required by the market.This translation practice report is based on the perspective of translation project managers.It takes the translation project that the author participated in as a case study,the “Human-Machine Collaboration Translation Model” proposed by Wang Meng and Cui Qiliang as the theoretical basis,and the online intelligent translation management platform YICAT affiliated to Tmxmall as the main technical tool.It aims to explore the best solution for translation teams to utilize translation technology and optimize the translation process by combining examples through six processes: translation memory,translation terminology database,pre-translation editing,machine translation,post-translation editing,and quality assurance.By comprehensively reviewing the entire process of the translation project completed by the author’s translation team,this translation practice report summarizes the method of combining and utilizing translation technologies and translation processes according to the level of translation projects,and provides suggestions for translation team managers. |
