The Study On The Source Of Abstract Printmaking In Taiwan’s Modern Art Association

After the two World War,the abstract painting thought in Europe spread all over the world,the wave of modern art trend and thus also swept the Taiwan art scene.Modern Graphic Art Association growing up in Taiwan’s first modern print group,they liberated the art form of traditional print from the realistic style and political shackles,ascend into the spiritual realm of modern art,great attention by painting,most of the Modern Printmaking will be seen as the beginning of modern print in Taiwan,But it did not explore its schematic source of abstract printmaking.This paper focuses on the key members of the source schema in the abstract woodcut prints,the fusion of western modern Chinese abstract form and the use of traditional culture,is the main feature of Taiwan 60 s abstract art performance,but also because of the pursuit of cultural specific demands,decreasing the development path of logic is different with the Western abstract development,towards the so-called form purification of the development of the art course.Modern prints will be on the creative style towards the development of deformation,abstract and other languages,try various versions of the experiment,just think of the traditional Chinese art form to find new forms of meaning.I think,instead of Taiwan abstract art as a western art form or concept transplantation,compared the difference between the two;as the history of Taiwan,face the abstract art of misreading,Western Differences and mixed their source,explore the source of its abstract schema.
