Report On The Consecutive Interpreting Forthe Agricultural Exchange Meeting In Hunan Province

Seminarsof all kinds of themes should be seen as a new means of foreign aids.Theydemonstrate to the world that China is a responsible country and improves China`s image on the international stage.As the number of such seminars increases,more interpreters are needed.At the same time,such seminars represent good chances for studentsmajoring in interpreting to practice what they have learned.The author is honored to have the opportunity to work as the interpreter for the 2016 Seminar on Modern Agricultural Management for Officials from Countries along the Land and Maritime Silk Road.The authorfound that in theinterpreting process she uttered much more “And”s than they are actually needed.There are many pauses and self-correction in the target text.Besides these technical factors,interpreter also found that there are some mistranslations in her interpretation.The authorfirst classified these factors according to their different features.Then she analyzed them one by one in details.In the fourth chapter,she put forward some possible methods for improvement.
