A Translation Report: Circling The Sun(Excerpt)

This translation report is excerpted from chapter one to chapter six of Circling The Sun.In the process of translating,the translator explores and studies the translation theories and their relationship with the translation practice,in which the function of the translation theory is discussed.In this practice,the translator summarizes the ways and methods to avoid the translation errors.Meanwhile,this translation report discusses the translator how to grasp the translation principle of moderation and further improve the translator's subjectivity in the principles of translation and the re-creation is reflected in the creation in translator creativity conducted by the translator and the ways that can promote the creativity of translator.There are four parts in the report.Part One is the task description,which expounds the meaning and purpose of this translation report and introduces the information of the original text;Part Two is the task process,including translation preparation,translation process and the screening and analysis of translation;Part Three is the case analysis and translation strategies,through translation guided by Skopos Theory,discussing the translator as the subject of translation should follow the translation principles and strategies.Meanwhile,this part also discusses the difficulties in the process of translation practice from dialogue translation,psychological state translation and action description translation.Part four is the conclusion,which summarizes the whole translation practice and the significance of this report.
