The pre-existing study of passive category of the foreign students mainly focus on the difficulty and error analysis of unmarked passive form and “bei” form. The researches of the other passive expressions are few.It can not fully reflect the passive expression of foreign students.Based on the cognitive linguistics archetypal theory,inter-language comparative analysis theory and error analysis theory, using corpus linguistics and the comparative analysis method, and taking the passive expression model of the native Chinese mother tongue as a reference,we analyze the passive expression pattern of the international students comparing with the different Chinese level and the different language background. The Chinese level is divided into three levels: the basic level, the intermediate level and the advanced level. We put Korean and Japanese together as one kind of language background, and put English,French,German and Russian together as the other kind of language background. We make the following conclusion:(1)Chinese level has an influence on passive expression pattern: with the improvement of Chinese level, passive expression pattern is developed, and become more and more closer to the mother tongue;there are still some shortcomings in the passive expression pattern of foreign students and the richness of the passive expression form, the degree of dependence and the expression ability of the predicate verb.(2)language background also has an influence on passive expression pattern:there are some similarities and differences in the passive expression pattern of foreign students and the richness of the passive expression form, the degree of dependence and the expression ability of the predicate verb.
