The gradual development and implementation of a comprehensive fitness program,the idea of lifelong physical education has been accepted by the masses.With the development of society,the level of education and the demand of social culture,people pay more and more attention to physical exercise.With the progress of the times,the development of sports dance to China compared to before has developed very fast,it is no longer a single young people's sports leisure exercise,gradually in the penetration in the middle-aged and elderly people.Sports dance is a dance development,both fitness and athletic dance role,its own property.The rapid development of modern society,ignoring the elderly people's physical and mental health,especially some recently retired middle-aged people of their future life is very confused,very prone to depression,depressed mood,not of their own self-confidence,have in the family construction is negative influence.Therefore,in order to improve the physical and mental health of middle-aged and elderly people,there should be corresponding organizational assumptions and measures.Sports dance exercise can play a dual role of physical and mental health,this paper mainly in the fitness function of sports dance as the center of sports dance can bring effect in the elderly body substantial improvement,through the experimental group in the elderly population in contrast to participate in various physical indexes before and after sports dancing exercise,sports dance the function of the elderly's improvement provides the theoretical basis for more scientific and more reasonable.This study selected 30 elderly university Xi'an Latin dance class students as subjects.During the experiment,the experimental group exercise time is 2 hours,3 times a week,during which the subjects did not participate in any except sports dance outside the physical exercise.Through the methods of literature,field survey and interview,experiment,questionnaire,mathematical statistics and other research methods,the participants in this experiment for 6 months of the experiment.The results are as follows:(1)the sports dance can play in reducing weight and fat,increase muscle mass in the elderly,can improve heart and lung function,is of great help to improve the physical quality of the elderly,can make the body lines become more symmetrical,is one of the most suitable for the elderly exercise effective way.(2)through the exercise of physical exercise for the past 6 months,the weight and fat index of the middle-aged and elderly people in the experimental group were decreased,and the body shape was improved obviously.(3)before and after the experiment,the vital capacity index and step index of the elderly in the experimental group were significantly increased,and the exercise effect was more significant in the experimental group for 2 months.(4)through 6 months of sports dance training,the experimental group in the elderly sit and reach,one leg stance,grip strength and choice reaction time indexes were improved,specific performance in flexibility,balance,coordination,agility and so on,among them,3 months of continuous exercise can play the obvious effect of exercise.(5)the middle and old aged people in the experimental group were relaxed after physical dance exercise,had a positive attitude towards life,became more extensive social circle,but also indirectly improve the family atmosphere.
