Objective: This test researches on the effect that “Tibetanfitness dance guozhuang” has on the middle-aged and aged people’s bodycomposition and balance ability indicator in Tibet region. It makes a comparativeanalysis on the changes of middle-aged and aged people’s body composition andbalance ability indicator before and after intervention, in order to demonstrate thefitness value of “Tibetan fitness dance guozhuang”—traditional Tibetan danceguozhuang integrated with scientific fitness elements. It also provides scientific basisfor traditional national culture’s heritage and theory basis for the creation andpromotion of “Tibetan fitness dance guozhuang”.Methods: Choose healthy testerswho have exercising habit and do not have metabolic disease, central nervous systemproblem and gonarthrosis of their own accord from Tibetan elderly university inLhasa. Through PAR-Q questionnaire and the questionnaire on health fitness beforeexercise,53middle-aged and aged testers who are more than45years old(58.98±8.24)are chosen. Based on the preliminary experiment of “Tibetan fitness danceguozhuang”, confirm the exercise intensity by both the testers’ heart rate and RPE andmake a modification of initially created “Tibetan fitness dance guozhuang”. At last,the plan of “Tibetan fitness dance guozhuang” is formed. Every day from9:00to10:30(from Monday to Friday), the testers take90minutes’“Tibetan fitness danceguozhuang”, this will last for13weeks. before and after the experiment in old Tibetuniversity health fitness index test. Results: After the test, the indicators of bodycomposition, weight, BMI, waistline and hipline decreased sharply (p <0.01); WHR、F%decreased obviously (p <0.05); lean body weight had no apparent change (p>0.05). The indicators of balance ability, eye-opened strengthening Romberg test,eye-closed with one foot test and eye-closed stepping test increased sharply (p <0.01);Indicator of eye-closed strengthening Romberg test increased obviously (p <0.05).Conclusion:1. After taking13weeks’ fitness dance guozhuang, the testers’ bodycomposition indicators of weight, body fat percentage and WHR decreased obviously.It can reduce the body fat weight and hip fat accumulation, it can also improve bodycomposition.2. After taking13weeks’ fitness dance guozhuang, the testers’ staticequilibrium and dynamic equilibrium. It can relieve the balance ability problem ofmiddle-aged and aged people.
