The TV drama "Ode to joy" reflects a series of problems about social solidification and stratification within the youth community.It is a youth cultural text which is worth interpreting.Thus,we need to dive into the study of the audiences' reception and identification.This paper takes the theoretical results of culture study and focus on the TV production,reproduction and audience identification with the research methods of context analysis,virtual ethnography and in-depth-interview in the framework of the audience research.The study takes the process of identity construction and reconstruction as a complete process of communication.This research argues that the process of identity construction and reconstruction is influenced by the society structure,individual experiences of the audience,the TV text and the meaning negotiation of group.The society structure provides the context for the interpretation and the reproduction of the TV text.The TV text constructs the image of modern city and the society of consumer,and then constructs the image of the youth and distinguishes people from different stratum through a series of symbolic representation.At the same time,the TV shows the aspirations and multiple values of urban youth through the theme narrative of "growth","love" and "career" which reflecting the youth culture and social problems in the new period.The young audiences who watch TV at the video site and use barrage participated in the discussion and published comments in social media community.They form the cognition,consensus and identity by the way of dialogue,discussion and negotiation.Finally,the audiences reflect themselves when creating comments,establish themselves when interacting with others.They perceive differences of internal class and negotiate identification of youth middle class;also tell the sense of identity anxiety under the consumer society and the pressure of survival according to their personal experience.They continue to reflect and reconstruct themselves,pursue constantly in order to achieve self-realization.
