The Chinese rhetorical question is of high frequency of use in the written and spoken Chinese language.With the flexible and complicated form as well as the various pragmatic function,the Chinese rhetoric question is one of the most functional Chinese sentences.As the positive meaning or negative meaning were expressed in the interrogative form,moreover,the meaning were often changed between positive and negative due to the attribution of adverbs,interrogative pronouns,demonstrative pronouns,modal verbs and modal particles,it is very difficult for foreign learners to understand the Chinese rhetorical question.Therefore,the Chinese rhetorical questions become a hard point to Chinese learners.So far,the research on the Chinese rhetorical question has get abundant and excellent results while the research of the Chinese rhetorical question on Chinese teaching is still deficient.This paper summarizes the previous research on the ontology and apply of Chinese rhetorical question as well as the research on Chinese teaching;then invest and analysis foreign learners of different countries,different learning levels,and different study place.Study their acquisition of Chinese rhetorical question,and find the problems they met during the acquisition.In the end of this research,the choreography of Chinese rhetorical question in various Chinese teaching materials will be analyzed,and useful strategies will also be given..
