The Onomatopoetic words is easy to be ignored in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,but in the Modern Chinese,whether spoken or literary works,Onomatopoeic words are an important part.International students in the learning process of Ch-inese will encounter all sorts of Onomatopoetic words.Due to the students' Chinese level,mother language system,culture background,teachers' teaching,the influence of such factors will make Onomatopoetic words become obstacles to foreign students when studying Chinese.This paper is based on the collected 45 Onomatopoetic words that we frequent-ly used in Modern Chinese,via the corpus analysis,questionnaire and interviews,su-mmed up the foreign students in Chinese onomatopoetic words,learn and use in the types of errors and analyze the causes of errors,put forward the corresponding teachin g strategies.The first part is to introduce the research purpose,the research signifi-cance,the research status,contents and methods;The second part introduce the modern Chinese Onomatopoetic words,from the characteristics,classification,function;The third part summarize the types of errors based on corpus analysis of foreign s tudents in the process of acquisition of Onomatopoetic words,and the causes of errors;The forth part puts forward the author suggestions of teaching Onomatopo etic words;The fifth part is the summary.
