A Report On Interpreting Of The Lecture:Innovation Methods Of Science Research Taking Drilling As An Example

Academic lecture generally sponsored by certain department or research institution.This kind of department or research institution usually invited some well-known experts in the field as the speakers,and the theme of the academic lecture would focus on a specific problem within the territory.The author conducted a simulative interpretation on an academic lecture given by Su Yinao,a famous academician,in China University of Petroleum(East China).Consecutive interpretation is a complicated cross-language and cross-cultural activity composed of receiving source language,comprehending information,switching code and expressing in target language.According to the transcript,the author analyzed and studied the interpretation process under the guidance of Adaptation Theory.This report is divided into four parts,including task description,process description,case analysis and conclusion.On the basis of the whole interpretation process,the author summarized the encountered problems,and tried to find the methods and strategies to reduce and correct the errors,in order to improve interpreting competence.Meanwhile,the author hopes that this report can provide some reference to other learners of interpretation so as to improve the quality of their interpretation.
