In order to make better protection and heritage of Xinjiang Uygur Maqam art and exploring the effect ways of inheriting and developing excellent cultural hertitage under the new situation.Xinjiang Arts Institute added Maqam singing major into the musical performance specialty in 1996,in 2008 set up a Maqam research direction in music profession,in 2014 set up a Maqam and Meshrep master cultivation level in musicology major,which was unique throughout the country,and this kind of national characteristics' education echoed the theme "Chinese culture as mother tongue" settled on the sixth national music education reform seminar.Since the early Uygur Maqam was mainly in the folk tradition,and with its introduction into school education,it has developed into a more systematic teaching mode;the mode of inheritance has produced a series of changes.How is the precious human cultural heritage inherited in schools,teachers and students of Maqam major in Xinjiang Arts Institute summarize a combination teaching methods of listening,singing,playing and research from a long-term exploration and practice.The paper mainly takes major subject of the Maqam singing course "Maqam singing ",and the teaching content and teaching method in the basic course of Maqam research "Maqam musical structure and analysis" as the main research object,combining with the early teaching situation,investigate and research on teaching status of Maqam major with the methods of description,literature research and interviews,in the end,makes thinking and prospect of the Maqam teaching in institutions of higher learning.This study includes four aspects;the part of introduction includes problem presentation,literature review,description of study subjects,and study method and value.Chapter one mainly researches Muqam teaching of Xinjiang Arts Institute and concludes Xinjiang Arts Institute's superiority of opening Muqam major.Chapter two introduces general situation and early teaching situation of major setup.Chapter three mainly analyzes teaching content and mothod of Muqum singing class,Muqum Music Structure and Analysis taught by Ayshigül and Abdus?mi.Chapter four concludes the current teaching statu of Muqam program of Xinjiang Arts Insititute and makes future expectation on intangible cultural heritage in school teaching.The meaning of this study is to sum up the education model adopted by teachers,and share its teaching achievements under such education model for the sake of offering referential materials for future Muqam education while inspiring more thoughts on this teaching philosophy.
