Translation Practice Report On Construction Contract T206 Of Tunnels Of Woodlands Segment Of Singapore MRT Thomson Line(Appendix O-Q)

Chinese companies are increasingly engaged in international tendering with the development of economic globalization.Tenders are the most important communication documents in international tendering.To translate these documents is the first step to undertake international projects.This paper,taking Construction Contract T206 of Tunnels of Woodlands Segment of Singapore MRT Thomson Line(Appendix O-Q)as the research object,analyses translation cases in biding documents with the application of text typology of K·Reiss.Guided by the theory,the paper divides Construction Contract T206 into informative texts(content-focused texts),and summarizes its language features.Combined with the features,the paper studies on translation cases in Construction Contract T206 in syntactical,lexical,grammatical and style levels,aiming to find how to ensure the equivalence between the original text and the translated one,and how to increase the accuracy and professionalism of the Chinese version of foreign biding documents.
