Research On Cultural Conflicts Of Thai Chinese Teaching

Cultural conflict is a universal phenomenon of intercultural communication.In the process of Thai Chinese Teaching,the occurrence of cultural conflict is inevitable.The existence of cultural conflict in Thai Chinese teaching will not only restrict the teaching effect of Chinese teachers in Thai Chinese teaching,but also affect the effect of Chinese learning in Thai students.So how to avoid,ease and resolve the cultural conflict is very important to Thai Chinese Teaching.I take full advantage of the convenience of teaching in the Thailand Nakprasith School,carefully record some cases of cultural conflict that happen in the daily teaching work,and then combine with professional knowledge to record the cases.the cases are divided into four categories: cases of cultural conflict in language,Nonverbal aspects of cultural conflict cases,values of cultural conflict cases and other aspects of cultural conflict cases.By analyzing the cases,I find that the causes of cultural conflict to the Thai Chinese teaching.The first is the cultural differences between China and Thailand,mainly refers to the Chinese and Thai people in time concept,behavior,way of thinking and values of different;The second is the teacher's classroom behavior and the teaching method of culture class.At the same time,Thai students' motivation and attitude of learning Chinese,the attitude of Chinese culture and their ability that adapt to Chinese culture are the causes of cultural conflict.Then,in view of the practical teaching experience,I attempts to put forward some strategies to avoid,mitigate and resolve cultural conflicts from two aspects of teachers and students.First of all,in the teacher's aspect,the Chinese teacher should establish the correct double culture consciousness,raise the knowledge culture accomplishment by oneself,teach according to the characteristics of Thai students.In addition,Thai students need to clear their learning motivation,correct their learning attitude of Chinese,set the correct view of Chinese culture,constantly improve the ability that adapt to Chinese culture.
