Taking the model consecutive interpreting of Putin's speech at the Belt and Road Initiative Forum as an example,the paper tends to analyze problems of listening and information processing in the case and put out relevant strategies by referring to both the writer's training experience and related theories.The performance of listening and information processing determines the quality of interpreting.According to the writer's practice,these problems mainly lie in the discrimination of words in continuous flow of speech,the vocabulary and special sentence pattern,coupled with the inaccurate understanding of the logic structure of the TL due to weak text analysis capability.Thus,the paper poses the following strategies against the issues above,namely,cultivating a habit of collecting new words,conjugations and authentic expressions in TL,and learning to de-verbalize when practicing and coping with the complex sentences and passive words barriers.The paper,by improving the ability of listening and comprehending,aims to serve as a guide to the the writer's interpreting tasks.
