Teaching material is the main basis for the teaching process,it is the main content of teacher's teaching and student's learning which plays an indispensable role in the language-learning process.The primary stage of Chinese learning is essential to the beginning level,and also impacts on the subsequent stages.I got a chance to have a 12-month internship at Siyuan Academia de Lengua China in Ecuador to learn more about Chinese Teaching here.Based on the acknowledge of the school's teaching situation,this paper argues that it is necessary to study the use of textbooks at the primary stage and explore both the advantages and disadvantages of them.Then,according to the questionnaire survey of the teachers and students in the academy,brings a new view to this academy and Latin-American countries for the Chinese textbooks selection and some suggestions of the usage in the primary stage.This paper is divided into five parts,except the Conclusion,the other four parts are as follows:The introduction part explains the reason of chosing the topic as the theme for this paper,It investigates of those research of these three Chinese teaching textbooks,also expounds the contents of this paper,including the objects of this survey,the scope and the method of this investigation.The second chapter bases on the investigation and research of these used textbooks.This chapter is about the objective comparison of the three textbooks from four aspects which are: the overall design,the arrangement of the text,the presentation of the language,and the arrangement of the exercise of these three textbooks.The third chapter is based on the basis of the investigation in Second Chapter.The director of Siyuan Academia de Lengua China,teachers and students who were interviewed and questionnaired.The content of the survey is also a comparison of these three textbooks in those four aspects same as in Second Chapter,but from the subjective perspective of the decision-makers and users of them.The fourth chapter combines the Second and Third Chapter,and puts forward some suggestions on the adjustment of these three textbooks.It also provides some suggestions on the selection and the use of teaching materials,not only to Siyuan Academia Lengua de China in Ecuador but also to those Chinese-learning schools and institutes in Latin American.
