Issues And Benefits In The Use Of Parallel Text In Translation Of Corporate Annual Report

This thesis is based on the case study of DSM annual report translation and to discuss the influence by parallel corpora.A complete process of learning from parallel corpora was introduced in the thesis regarding reference,term as well as writing style and examples were provided respectively.In conclusion,the thesis pointed out that the parallel corpora can,in some way,provide the translator with basic information and terms in certain fields,therefore can help to increase the translation efficiency and quality.However,the translator should know how to use the parallel corpora to assist translation instead of totally relying on it.
