Ivan Klima is a famous writer of the Czech Republic.There are two major themes in his work: politics and sex.In the age when there was no right to speak,politics could not be openly discussed.Therefore,his works more often used the relationship between men and women to explore people's predicament and political consciousness.There are many character images that do not succumb to the reality of oppression.These images express the yearning for freedom and the break-up of the secular world.By Combining domestic translations of works by Klima,including more than a dozen works such as novels,prose collections,and autobiographical works,revisiting the political ethics and family ethical order in Klima 's literature,discussing the construction of a new ethic order in literature,which is the pursuit of freedom,democracy,equality and harmony.The thesis is discussed in three aspects.The first chapter discusses the difficulties of the body and mind of the Czech people under the totalitarian rule,based on the political perspective.The second chapter starts from the family relationship that includes the relationship between the sexes and intergenerational relations.From the perspective of the other theme of sex,the distorted,sick society and the people are exposed,reflecting the relationship between sex and politics,showing that people the worries of life dilemmas,and the desire for freedom to break through the barriers and the reconciliation of the heart and self,creating a new family ethics order.The third chapter mainly proceed from the narrative strategy,formally discuss the humorous narrative and metaphorical narrative to set off two major themes.The desire for freedom is the constant pursuit of human society.After experiencing the military invasion of external forces,the Czech people's demand for freedom and democracy has become hot.After the war,the repression under totalitarian rule caused the original ethical order to be destroyed,and subsequent restrictions on intellectuals hampered the development and freedom of literature.Klima hopes to reconstruct the social ethical order through literary activities,which aims at the pursuit of freedom and democracy.
