Study On Mural Art Of Yuan Dynasty Tombs In Dongcun,Yangquan

After the unification of the Yuan Dynasty and the whole country,the economy of various regions of Shanxi was restored and developed,and the cultural tradition was still inherited from the ritual system of the Song and Jin dynasties.The rulers of the Yuan Dynasty extended the image system of the regional customs of the frontier to all his subjects.We can see that the murals of the tombs of the Yuan Dynasty in Shanxi area reflect the traces of the blending of Han and Mongolian ethnic cultures.The tombs unearthed in Shanxi are mostly of the middle and lower social strata and Taoist celebrities,which provides us with an understanding and study of the social history of Shanxi in the Yuan Dynasty.Political economy and cultural phenomena provide valuable visual images.The frescoes of the Yuan Tombs in the East Village of Yangquan have inherited the cultural tradition of the Han nationality in terms of their contents and forms,showing more development and breakthrough.Whether in composition,layout,modeling,line or color,they can be handled flexibly and changefully.Folk painters combine these formal factors well and serve a special environment such as tomb culture,and successfully create a magnificent world of underworld for tomb owners.To a certain extent,it shows us the artistic style and customs of that period and region.Through reading books and publications,consulting network materials,visiting the museum site,talking with the elders of the village,I have more understanding of the murals of ancient tombs and preliminary understanding of the murals of the tombs of Dongcun Yuan Dynasty.It not only provide important historical materials for us to study the social life,dress and furniture in the eastern part of Jin Dynasty,but also explore the communication between folk painters and literati painters during the Song and Yuan dynasties.The self-conscious study of folk painters provides powerful evidence.
