Zheng Zhenduo And Translated Literatures

Zheng Zhenduo was a famous litterateur,translator and editor in China.He made a great contribution to translated literature researching.In the May 4th period,for the development of the New Culture Movement,Zheng introduced lots of good foreign literature,history of literature and literature theory.He used many of them into his practical translation.Novel Monthly had been in charge of Zheng for 9 years,which recorded the growth of the first generation of writers in Chinese New Culture and developed many new scholars,as the important cultural field by spreading foreign culture.So,paying attention on translated literature of Novel Monthly will help us make a general statement on Zheng Zhenduo.Starting from Novel Monthly time,the paper tries to analyze translation thoughts and translation activity of Zheng Zhenduo.The first chapter introduces the background of May 4th period and the formation of Zheng's translation thoughts.The second chapter analyzes and concludes Zheng's translation thoughts.The third chapter evaluates Zheng's translation activities.The last chapter gives a statement on Zheng Zhenduo.
