From the Qing Dynasty,Suzhou had won excellent oppurtunities for development,not only in economy but also in culture,which stimulated the prosperity of the annals.Thanks to the prosperity,a lot of excellent local chronicles were produced during this time.The same to local chronicles' development in Qing Dynasty,Qing Dynasty was the heyday of development of the chronicles of townships of Suzhou,many famous works produced in this period,which displaying the regional characteristics.when in the Republic of China Period,because of the war disasters,social changes and so on,the township chronicles had to confront with difficulty.But luckily,there also appeared some good works,which had also fully embodied the characteristics of the time.concerning about the township chronicles after Qing Dynasty,it had had a great diversity in format and the theory of chronicles,a steady state in editorial staff and organizations,and a great mark of local and Time's characteristics in historical records.Because of it,the township chronicles could be treated as an important supplement to other historical values.
