English writing teaching is a weakness in current vocational college English teaching classroom,especially with students with low writing interest and poor writing proficiency.Given that,this research carries out a QQ-based flipped classroom teaching model based on cognitive load theory,constructivism,autonomous learning theory and cooperative learning theory.This model is divided into pre-class and in-class phases with the well-welcomed platform of QQ.To verify the effectiveness of this model,a 15-week experiment on 79 non-English majors at vocational college level in Zhejiang is conducted to investigate the following questions:(1)How does this model influence vocational college students' writing interest?(2)How does this model impact vocational college students' writing proficiency?(3)What are students' attitudes to application of this model?In this study,students' writing proficiency is measured by College English Test Band Three of Zhejiang Province and four writing practices.While questionnaires and an interview are used to analyze changes of students' writing interest.And Pigai system also assists conduction of the experiment.With data collection and analysis,findings are set as follows:(1)This model lowers students' hatred to English writing from 59.1%to 31.8%and correspondently improves students' writing intrinsic interest.(2)This model is effective in improving students' writing proficiency for there being significant difference in post-test scores between the experimental and control group.And the mean score of the experimental group grows greater than that of the control group,from 7.07 to 8.40.Students' spelling,word expressions,part of speech,sentence meanings etc are improved.(3)Students think this model features practicability,interactivity,convenience and fun and hence hold a positive attitude towards its application.Application of this model can not only have a good outcome in writing teaching,but promote English teaching reform in vocational colleges.
