WeChat has already had more than 650 million users per month since it has been launched in 2011.As a very important group of users,college students' WeChat use has proved to be a research topic.Though the research on WeChat at home seems not sufficient,research on relationship between personality traits and social network using behavior is very abundant overseas.Personality traits impact on people's thought,emotion and behavior,so they have great influence on WeChat use;Boredom,a very common in modern society,became the focus of psychology in the 20 th Century,which can influence people to escape from the current state of dissatisfaction,and then it affects the individual behavior.There is no precedent study of personality traits,boredom and the use of WeChat before,therefore it is significant to explicit the relationship between the three.Based on the above considerations,the study carries on as follows:Research 1:Compile the questionnaire of College Students' WeChat Use,in order to provide reliable measuring tool to further explore the WeChat use.Research 2: Select 419 college students as the test objects.Comprehensively analyze the relationship of personality traits,boredom and WeChat use.Conclusions are as follows: The questionnaire of College Students' WeChat Use,which is divided into 2 dimensions: the intensity of WeChat use and the common used function of WeChat,has ideal reliability and validity.(1)The personality traits of college students are consistent with the national norm.Opengot the highest score;Neuroticism got the lowest score.There was significant differenceof between students from science and art,male and femal,and rural and urban areas.(2)College Students' boredom proneness is moderately high.Lack of input got the highestscore;High arousal got the lowest score.There was significant difference of betweenstudents from rural and urban areas.(3)There was no significant difference in the demographic variables of WeChat use.(4)There is a significant positive correlation between personality traits of College studentsand boredom proneness.Boredom proneness and WeChat use have positive correlation.Boredom proneness can predict We Chat use.Personality traits and WeChat use havepositive correlation.Personality traits can predict WeChat use.(5)College students' personality traits and boredom proneness can predict WeChat use.Boredom proneness has significant mediating effect between personality traits and boredom proneness.Personality traits have a positive predictive effect on boredom.
