This is a translation project report on the chapter one and chapter two of the working paper named Accelerating Energy Transition through Innovation.Inchapter one,the author of this paper mainly introduces the objectives and framework of this report,and also elaborates the current status of the energy sector,the innovation of the energy sector and the state of energy transition,and puts forward some policy recommendations that are favorable to the development of energy sector.Chapter two is the overview of the global demand for energy transformation and decarbonization from present to the year of 2050 and the introduction to the decarbonization process in the energy industry.The translation report is divided into four chapters.In chapter one,the translator introduces the translation project,including the background,purposes,significances,structure and theoretical basis of the translation report.In chapter two,thetranslator introducesthe content of source text and the author,then analyzes the source text from the lexical and syntactic level.In chapter 3,the translator raises the difficulties of translation and the corresponding methods used in the translation process.The translator uses Peter Newmark's communicative translation theory as the theoretical guidance of the translation process.In chapter 4,the translator summarizes the inspiration and experiences gained during the translation process and also points out the problems to be solved.
