A Comparative Study Between Chinese-western Classical Paintings And Translation From The Aesthetic Perspective

A better and more practical understanding of an art lies in a further comparison with other arts.There are many similarities in classical paintings and translation from aesthetic perspective.The aesthetics of classical paintings is useful to study translation.The similarities between classical paintings and translation are mainly embodied in expression skills and aesthetic psychology.Chinese classical paintings stress on the beauty in mood and Chinese language is paratactic.Western classical paintings stress on the beauty in logic and English language is hypotactic.The purpose of the comparison between classical paintings and translation is to provide some aesthetic methods of translation and to reference the aesthetic methods of classical paintings into translation.This thesis studies classical paintings and translation through literature research methods and translation practice,and compares the same expression skills and aesthetic methods between classical paintings and translation by analyzing the beauty in artistic mood of Chinese classical paintings and Chinese language and the beauty in logic of Western classical paintings and English language.Based on the theories of translation aesthetics,three-dimensional structure theory of translation aesthetics,aesthetic representation and the aesthetic methods of classical paintings,three phases of translation aesthetics are proposed in this thesis: aesthetics of language structure,aesthetics of hypertext information and aesthetics of translation style.This thesis is an attempt to apply more expression skills to translation from other art fields and provide translation some new effective aesthetic methods in aesthetic perspective.
