Many different types of business exchanges emerge along with the rapid economic development of China and improvement of comprehensive national power since China's entrance into WTO.In recent years,exposition becomes an emerging industry which is also named as“Sunrise Industry”and gets more and more popular among many countries.In order to cater for exposition visitors at home and abroad,escort interpretation is playing an irreplaceable role in exposition exchange.The task source of this paper is from an escort interpretation of the 22^nd Dental South China International Expo in Guangzhou International Exhibition Center.As required by targeted company,writer's target-customer is personnel from an Exporting Company,named Hanzhong Ruixin Dental Cutting Tools Co.Ltd.?hereinafter referred to as Ruixin Company?.The main responsibilities of escort interpretation include trade negotiation,business contract discussion,sales of goods,and cultural exchange.The writer puts much more emphasis on case studies during escort interpretation from the perspective of interpretative theory,covering long sentences analysis,unfamiliar accent issue,cultural difference and complicated environment.In order to deal with these difficulties during practice,the writer adopts five effective methods to analyze in detail,including literal interpretation,omission,addition,transliteration plus explanation,and re-construction.The writer concludes evaluations after interpretation and summarizes effective interpretation methods.In view of these,the writer holds that a real practice on site is totally different from the practice in class.Interpreters should learn how to put what they have learnt in class into practice at first,and then they have to put themselves into society to do more real practices in various occasions so as to strengthen their flexibility and interpersonal skills.Nowadays,interpreter is like a bridge to make the exchange smooth and successful.Hope this thesis could do a favor for future interpretation learners and wish they could make more contributions into this great career in the future.
