| This is a translation project report on the fourth chapter: First Shot of My Losing Season: A Memoir,written by Pat Conroy from America.This book is about a memoir career of basketball.According to the basketball development in recent years in China,people in China need know more culture of American basketball.Therefore,the translator would like to build the bridge between the Chinese and America basketball culture.In the process of translating,the translator takes semantic and communicative translation from Peter Newmark's translation theory as the theoretical support and employs division and addition as the main translation techniques to handle some terms and long-difficult sentences.It is hoped that the translation project can bring some useful thoughts on sports text translation. |
