Translation Report Of Overseas Education Application Texts With Cat Application

With the increasing global cross-cultural communication,more and more students study abroad.As a result,the translation task of overseas education application texts will be increased greatly,and the demand for translation speed and efficiency will also be raised continuously,which means the original human translation needs to be improved to enhance the efficiency of translation.Many different kinds of computer aided translation softwares have been applied to various texts and formed many corresponding practical reports and experimental studies.These research results show that CAT is very helpful to improve translation efficiency.However,there is little involvement of CAT in the translation of overseas education application texts.Therefore,it is a new attempt to apply the computer aided translation software to the translation of this kind of texts.In order to improve the translation speed and efficiency of overseas education application texts,this paper aims to apply one CAT software--Déjà vu to the translation process of these texts.By analyzing the operation process and problems in the three stages--pre translation,translation and after translation,the writer made a summary and came up with some relevant recommendations.The conclusion is that computer aided software has a certain applicability to improve the efficiency of the translation of overseas education application texts.However,the application efficiency of CAT is different because of the variety of different overseas education application texts.Therefore,the writer proposes to analyze the translation project in the pre translation stage,then adopt appropriate translation methods according to different type and format of the project,so as to improve the efficiency of the translation of overseas education application texts synthetically.
