A Report On The Translation Of Master Purchase Agreement For Goods And Services

On the basis of the author's practical translation of MASTER PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR GOODS AND SERVICES,the report describes the language features and article structure of the English business purchase agreement,and discusses the specific problems faced in the process of translation as well as the translation strategies to solve those problems.The report is divided into four chapters.The chapter 1 introduces the background and the goal of the translation project.The chapter 2 makes a short summary of the main content of the agreement,and then gives a brief analysis on the language features and article structure of the source agreement.Chapter 3,the significant part of the report,firstly introduces the Peter Newmark's translation theory,next analyzes the specific difficulties faced in the translation process of vocabulary and sentences as well as provides the feasible translation strategies.Chapter 4 is a conclusion to the translation practice.The original agreement text and its translation text are concluded in the appendix.
