This article selects three groups of Short-term adverbs,according to the syllabus for HSK(preliminary and vantage level),“Ganggang,Gang”,“Mashang,Li'ke”,“Jiu,Cai” which all representing short time,to make a comparative analysis.Firstly,the differences of internal characteristics among them are concluded from the perspectives of syntax,semantics and pragmatics.And then,guided by the research of grammatical theory,an investigation and analysis of acquisition of them are made among foreign students in the class of primary A and intermediate C(HSK3-4 level)in the college of the Chinese studies of Dalian International Studies University.It is found that the foreign students have good understanding of the basic semantics and syntactic structure of them,but the frequency of errors is high in some fixed usages and distinguishing synonyms.At last,according to the results of the investigation and analysis,some advice and methods of how to help foreign students distinguish synonyms,strengthen the cognition of syntactic structure,and enhance pragmatic competence are proposed by giving examples.It is hoped to provide reference for the teaching of these three groups of temporal adverbs.
