Chinese complement has always been a hot topic in the field of grammar because of its own complexity and the particularity that distinguishes from other languages.Modal complement,as an important part of complement system, has always been a key and difficult part in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and also a major obstacle for foreign students to learn Chinese.Especially for Korean students who have no complement system in their own mother tongue,it is more difficult to understand the complements of modality. In order to solve this problem, this paper will compare the two languages of Chinese and Korean on the basis of previous research results and explore the acquisition rules and characteristics when Korean students learn modality complement by statistical analysis of questionnaires. For the previous studies, this paper will draw lessons from the domestic research results, comb the research of Korean scholars,By investigating and comparing Chinese and Korean,we found that although Korean grammar is not similar to the complement system in Chinese,in the expression of meaning,Korean can express the meaning of Chinese modal complement accurately because of its morphological change and the developed auxiliary system.Generally speaking,Korean students can identify the components of the Chinese modal complement markers “de” or “ge”,grasp the meaning of the sentence well and understand the key points and the semantic direction of the sentence accurately.Based on this, the author designed a questionnaire to investigate Korean students' acquisition of syntactic and semantic meaning of Chinese modal complement, and tried to make a comprehensive investigation and verification of the author's point of view through empirical investigation.
